2.3.1  Cable Core
The loose tubes are stranded around the central strength member utilizing SZ. SZ stranding wraps the tubes in one direction for several turns, then in the other direction. 
2.3.2  Central Strength Member
The central strength member is made of steel wire. It provides both tensile and anti-buckling strength to the cable. 
2.3.3  Loose Tube
Optical fibers are housed in jelly filled tube. The tube is manufactured with industry standard PBT. It is colored for easy identification according to the scheme shown above. 
2.3.4  Water Blocking Material
Filling compound, between the loose tube and the inner sheath, between steel tape and inner sheath protect cable from water intrusion.
2.3.5  Armour
Steel tape which is providing maximum tensile strength property, anti-erode and bullet resistant performance.
2.3.6  Outer Jacket
A black medium density polyethylene jacket is extruded over the cable core and corrugated steel tape armor as the sheath.
2.3.7  Cable Sheath Marking
       Each cable have the following information clearly marked on the outer jacket of cables:
       a. Name of manufacturer.
       b. Year of manufacturer
       c. Type of cable and fiber
       d. Length mark (printing on each meter normally)
       e. Or as customer's requirements.

3. Packing and Shipping
Cable is supplied in lengths as specified in PI or as requirement. Each length will be shipped on a separate non-returnable wooden drum. The minimum barrel diameter of the drum will not be less than 30 times the cable diameter.
The cable on each reel will be completely covered with a thermal wrap which is fastened to the cable by packaging straps. This wrap is reusable and provides excellent thermal and UV protection.
The cable ends will be sealed with plastic protection caps to prevent water penetration. The ends will be easily accessible for testing. A final inspection test report with attenuation performance data for each fiber is attached inside the drum.
