2.3.1 Parallel Double Strength Member
The strength member is made of a steel wire. It provides both tensile and anti-buckling strength to the cable.
2.3.2 Loose Tube
Optical fibers are housed in jelly filled tube. The tube is manufactured with industry standard PBT. It is colored for easy identification according to the scheme shown above.
2.3.3 Water Blocking Material
Filling compound, the water blocking material between the loose tube and steel tape protect cable from water intrusion.
2.3.4 Armour
Corrugated steel tape as armour which is providing maximum anti-crush property, anti-erode and bullet resistant performance.
2.3.5 Outer Jacket
A black high density polyethylene jacket is extruded over the cable core and aramid yarn as the sheath.
2.3.6 Cable Sheath Marking
Each cable have the following information clearly marked on the outer jacket of cables:
a. Name of manufacturer.
b. Year of manufacturer
c. Type of cable and fiber
d. Length mark (printing on each meter normally)
e. Or as customer's requirements.

3.Testing and Inspection
The optical properties of all fibers are measured prior to cable manufacturing and remain traceable throughout the manufacturing process and the lifetime of the cable.
After cabling, we use statistical process control techniques along with periodic verification to insure 100% compliance to attenuation requirements in each length of cable with bi-directional OTDR at all operating wavelengths. Cable dimensional measurements are also made at final inspection and recorded.

4. Packing and Shipping
Cable is supplied in lengths as specified in PI or as requirement. Each length will be shipped on a separate non-returnable wooden drum. The minimum barrel diameter of the drum will not be less than 30 times the cable diameter.
The cable on each reel will be completely covered with a thermal wrap which is fastened to the cable by packaging straps. This wrap is reusable and provides excellent thermal and UV protection.
The cable ends will be sealed with plastic protection caps to prevent water penetration. The ends will be easily accessible for testing. A final inspection test report with attenuation performance data for each fiber is attached inside the drum.
