Tight Buffer Fiber Optic Cable (GJBFJV) with 24 Core Indoor Breakout
Product Description
These cables are constructed bundling tight buffered simplex optical fiber in an outer jacket. Non metallic FRP
strength members in the cable give it good tensile strength and electro-magnetic protection. It has small diameter,
light weight and thick wall jacket protection, giving it versatile applications. It can be used in cable assemblies
and places of high electro-magnetic interferences.
Flexible and small bent radius ensures good performance against pressure. These simplex cables are individually
reinforced with Aramid yarn so can be terminated without the need for breakout boxes, patch panel or junction boxes.
Each fiber is mechanically reinforced with two successive sheaths of 400µm and 900µm which enables direct
termination of connectors. Excellent strip force stability, fiber geometrical dimension and transmission performance
meets the customer demand. Available in PVC, LSZH, Plenum outer sheath and tight buffer: 900µm, 600µm. The
cable is specially designed for indoor applications like oor distribution, interconnection and equipment connection.

Optical Characteristics
Of all the differences between multimode & singlemode fiber, the most fundamental differences are the
size of the fiber's core and the associated attenuation or loss and bandwidth of the fiber. The smaller the
core diameter, the higher the fiber's bandwidth and the lower the attenuation (loss in dB per kilometer).
The fiber's attenuation and bandwidth are also dependent on wavelength.
Singlemode was for high-speed longdistance transmission and multimode (in either the 50 µm or 62.5 µm
core diameters) was used for lower speed short distance applications. Multimode 50 µm fiber had a lower
cost and higher modal bandwidth than multimode 62.5 µm core fiber. Bandwidth is a measurement of the
data carrying capacity of the fiber. A higher bandwidth fiber carries more data. See table below.
